Bayer: Giving Heart Attack and Stroke Survivors a “Most Meaningful Melody” to Inspire a Focus on Their Health

Bayer, an aspirin brand, encouraged people in the USA who are at risk of cardiovascular problems to take an aspirin every day to prevent heart attacks and strokes.

Situation analysis

Every 40 seconds, an American has a heart attack or stroke and about 1 in 4 of these potentially fatal events happen to people who've already had one. Taking a daily aspirin plays an important role in preventing cardiovascular events but an estimated 2.4 million people who could benefit from taking a daily aspirin aren't doing it.

Bayer ASPIRIN also found that the majority of its 13.1 million target users experienced "pill fatigue." But when people discontinue their aspirin regimen, they increase their risk of another heart attack by 63% and an ischemic stroke by 40%....
