In this industry sometimes muscle memory can just take over. We do something because… we did it last time… and the time before that. When we fall into this comfort zone our work ends up in familiar places with similar results.
In this campaign we pulled ourselves out of our comfort zone and found new spaces for our brand to play in.
Mentos wants to become famous across the world for helping people meet and connect for real, when more and more people are turning to the internet to do this. Rather than denigrate online behaviour, we were inspired by it and found that the more you lean into the things people want to share online, the more you can inspire their behavior offline.
We created a campaign people genuinely wanted to engage with. Mentos became more than just a candy for the first time. It became a new way to meet people, a new way to have fun with friends - and a new way to propose to your significant other.
