Frontline19, a mental health charity, launched a new phoneline, Hopeline19, on Emergency Services Day in the UK to provide NHS workers with psychological support, allowing the public to leave messages of hope during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It all started by observing a viral epidemic transform into a psychological crisis for frontline NHS staff.

Using evidence from natural and terror disasters, we found an antidote: hope. A safe and scientific lever to pull on to help build psychological resilience.
