Over the past twelve months, the Internet has gone from honeymoon to experiencing a strong year of impact and influence. Once perceived as a ‘watch and see’ tool among marketers and consumers, the Internet has evolved into a predominant force.

Forrester Research estimated 1999 U.S. online retail sales at $20.2 billion and $2.8 billion for online ad spending. Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) reports 1999 total advertising expenditures will probably exceed 4 billion dollars....
