The parent company of YouTube and Google smashed its previous record, earning $50.4bn from advertising in the second quarter of 2021, according to the latest company reports.
Following an 8.1% decline in Q2 2020 during the initial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, Alphabet advertising revenue has risen by more than two-thirds (68.9%) to top $50bn for the first time ever.
