Brands are emotional things. They are all about feelings, perceptions and personalities. Brands represent the characteristics associated or attributed to them and the role of communications is to articulate and manage that character effectively. The path, however, is rarely a straight or narrow one which makes the job of developing the most effective brand strategy and deciding how to communicate it (or them) potentially very problematic.
