Total UK adspend is expected to rise 2.5% this year, following market growth of 3.7% in 2016, according to the latest data from the Advertising Association/WARC Expenditure Report, published in April. Adspend is expected to reach £21.9bn in 2017 compared to a total of £21.4bn in 2016. Within this year's total, internet is forecast to be the largest ad medium, with spend of £11.2bn.
