Mobile Gaming is booming. Even before the coronavirus-induced lockdown effect, it represented a truly large segment of overall gaming/entertainment. A total of $61.7bn was spent in mobile games in 2019 () across iOS and Android, representing 74% of all global in-app spending. If you compare this to the $42.5bn that was generated in global box office revenue (), it’s clear that mobile gaming is firmly mainstream.
