Almost 10 thousand kilometers separate Mexico from Germany. At first sight, both countries seem to be extremely different: the language, gastronomy, music and other elements that make up these two cultures. However, this is not an obstacle for a dialogue between these nations, a summit from which more points in common than differences may arise, a Dual Year that ignores distances by closely linking them.

A Dual Year symbolizes the union between two nations that, together, strengthen their bilateral relationship through various activities of scientific, cultural, educational and political nature. The Dual Year Germany-Mexico 2016-2017 was held from June 2016 to June 2017, a friendly approach that involved 1,410 events in the Mexican territory that integrated six thematic areas: Culture, Science, Education, Sustainability, Innovation and Mobility.
