YouTube ad revenue reaches new high of $7.2bn
YouTube advertising revenue has reached a new high of more than $7.0bn, according to the latest company report.
Why it matters
Parent company Alphabet also called out connected TV (CTV) as YouTube's fastest-growing screen, with advertisers able to drive conversions on the big screen as direct response formats for CTV have been expanded.
This forms part of the platform's expansion into commerce, with the company mentioning shoppable livestream experiments on YouTube with retailers like Sephora, Target and Walmart.
