Twitter ad revenue tops $1bn as userbase reaches new high
Twitter's advertising revenue has topped $1bn for only the second time as the platform's daily userbase reached a new high, according to the latest company reports.
Why it matters
Twitter's advertising revenue fell into decline during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic in Q2 2020 but the company has recovered and has seen advertising revenue grow 87.4%. While Apple's launch of iOS 14.5 in April posed a potential challenge, Twitter said the impact was "more muted than we expected".
