As parts of the world begin to cautiously open up and vaccines become more readily available, now is the time for travel brands to begin preparing for vacation-hungry tourists.
Why it matters
According to the World Travel & Tourism Council’s annual Economic Impact Report, in 2019 the Travel & Tourism sector generated one in four of all new jobs around the world, accounting for a total of 334 million jobs. However, last year the sector lost nearly 62 million jobs, representing a drop of 18.5% globally.
