One in three adults is engaging more with social advertising
Almost one in three adults (30%) say they are paying attention to or interacting with social media ads more since the pandemic began, according to YouGov. However, more consumers disagree with this statement than agree in 10 of the 17 markets surveyed.
Why it matters
YouGov has also found that less than half of adults say they trust social media ads. While social media consumption saw strong growth in 2020, brands will need to carefully tailor their social campaigns to be both trustworthy and engaging.
