Mars, the multinational manufacturer of confectionery, pet care and food products, has made significant progress in overcoming gender disparity in its advertising.
Speaking at the Unstereotype Alliance Global Member Summit, Dale Green, Mars Inc.’s global director of purpose marketing, outlined how the firm has pushed ahead in this area, as shown by the number of female characters in its ads rising from 34% in 2018 to 45% in 2021.
