Half of Indians to spend less this festive season
One-half of Indian consumers plan to spend less than the previous year during the 2020 festive holiday season, according to data from McKinsey & Company.
Why it matters
This reduction in festive shopping in India is accompanied by a redirection of spending towards online platforms. A shift towards e-commerce is set to last beyond the pandemic, according to WARC's survey of over 1,000 marketers.
