Facebook loses users while advertising growth slows
Facebook has lost daily active users for the first time in its 18-year history while advertising revenue growth has slowed to the third-lowest level ever, according to the latest data from parent company Meta.
Why it matters
Strong competition from TikTok and Apple's data privacy changes are having a big impact on Meta's user base and advertising platform and these challenges look likely to continue into 2022.
