Double-digit recovery overcomes pandemic advertising cuts
Global advertising investment is forecast to rise by 12.6% this year to reach $665bn, overcoming the 5.4% cut last year and topping 2019 spend by $41bn. This is according to WARC Data's latest analysis report, Global Ad Trends: Ad Investment 2021/22.
Why it matters
All consumer-facing product sectors are expected to increase advertising spend this year following deep cuts in 2020. However, some sectors, including travel, will take more than two years to lift spend back to pre-pandemic levels.
