Almost all brand videos on TikTok feature a product, according to an analysis by video editor company InVideo.
Why it matters
Brands are giving more attention to TikTok as the platform's user base grows rapidly and popular strategies are emerging. While product placement is widespread on TikTok, just 4% of brand videos include a call to action, suggesting a tendency from brands to avoid explicit advertising and messaging.
However, the most common strategy (product placement) has one of the lowest average number of views per video. Instead, brand events are far less common but attract the most views.
