Wieden+Kennedy’s creative excellence rests on seven points of agency culture

Wieden+Kennedy, the agency, is developing an agency culture that reflects the evolving contours of the marketing universe.

“Advertising has never been particularly great, for the most part,” confessed Neal Arthur, managing director of Wieden+Kennedy/New York.

And, he argued, the future doesn’t look particularly rosy. “The internet happened; iPhones happened; streaming happened. All those things have ended us up in a space where people don't have to watch our ads anymore. They don't even watch our good ads. And they certainly don't watch our bad ads.

“All of this creates a real paradox for people who are in advertising.”
