In the aftermath of the military clashes in Ladakh, the Indian government banned 59 Chinese apps, including the extremely popular and fast-growing TikTok. In the United States, President Donald Trump announced that he was considering banning TikTok in retaliation against China over the way it handled COVID19. White House trade advisor Peter Navarro announced that a ban against WeChat could also be on the cards.
