Shoppers conduct online research before in-store purchases

An overview of Coveo's recent report on before-purchase research for online shopping.

Shoppers prefer to research products online before making a purchase, according to a recent report from Software as a Service (SaaS) engine Coveo. In fact, 37% of shoppers research products online before making a purchase in-store, according to the report. Twenty-three percent of consumers said they prefer to research products on social media specifically before making an in-person purchase, while 55% of surveyed consumers said they do research on the website of the retailer from which they intend to purchase.
