16% of US adults now own a smart speaker. 13% of smart speaker owners had made at least one purchase via their smart speaker, in the preceding week of a new survey by NPR and Edison Research. Of those who had made a purchase, over half had ordered household supplies (58%) or electronics (51%). Almost half had purchased health and beauty products (48%), pet food/supplies (45%) or groceries (42%). A further 28% had ordered home or garden products, and 22% had ordered baby products.
