Cinema advertising expenditure in the US was valued at $743.1m in 2017, according to data from the Cinema Advertising Council (CAC). This represents a year-on-year decrease of 5.9% from 2016, and coincided with North American cinema admissions dipping to the lowest level in over nine years.
The market is expected to record mild growth this year, however, with spend forecast to rise 0.5% to $746.8m. Should it come to pass, this would be the third-highest total on record.
