Outdoor advertising expenditure in the UK amounted to £1,123m in 2016, according to data from the Advertising Association/WARC Expenditure Report and Outsmart. This represents year-on-year growth of 6.1%% from 2015, when total spend amounted to £1,058m. Data show that outdoor accounted for 5.7% of total UK adspend in 2016, a share that held steady from 2015. In display-only terms, outdoor accounts for 9.0% of UK adspend, up 0.3 percentage points (pp) from 2015.
