Sport recovers lost mobile audiences but travel struggles

An overview of the changes in global mobile audiences among key categories in 2020.

Mobile sport audiences have recovered to their pre-coronavirus (COVID-19) level but other categories have lost their higher uptake or struggled to return to normal, according to data from Comscore.

Global mobile audiences in the sports category fell 14% between August 2019 and April 2020, when many countries entered national lockdown and matches were cancelled. However, audience levels had returned to normal by August, with 1% growth compared to the previous year.
