Grocery foot traffic in Brazil has returned to relative normality after the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak but consumers are more hesitant to return to retail, according to the latest anonymised consumer data from Google.
Daily average foot traffic at grocery and pharmacy sites was down 16% in April compared to the January and February baseline. However, this decline eased to 8% in May and 2% in June, before turning to minor growth of 4% in July.
