Voice activated speakers are nearly twice as popular in America than in Canada, though few owners user their device to access news content, according to the latest data from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism.
In the US, 8.9% of adults aged 18+ said they had used a voice activated speaker for any purpose in the last week, compared to just 4.5% in Canada. The current landscape is dominated by tech giants like Amazon's Echo, Apple's HomePod and Google Home.
