Digital subscriptions for The New York Times are growing as quickly as Google advertising revenue, according to company reports. The global newsbrand saw digital subscription revenue increase 17.7% year-on-year in 2018, just below Google's ad revenue growth of 22.0%. This difference has been even smaller in the past, at just 0.8 percentage points in 2016.
