New media habits unlikely to last in France

French consumers are spending longer with a variety of media but this is unlikely to last in the long-term, according to the latest data from GlobalWebIndex.

Over half (56%) of consumers in France say they are watching more linear TV because of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, with two-fifths (39%) watching more streamed TV via platforms like Netflix. Watching more news coverage has also become more common among 47% of consumers.
