Ordering direct delivery via phones has become more popular during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, according to a global survey by Kantar. One-third (33%) of consumers at the end of May (wave 5) said they are using this channel more, an increase from 26% in wave 3 (middle of April).
E-commerce shows the largest increase, with two-fifths (40%) reporting an increase in use in wave 5. This compares to a third (33%) in wave 3.
