Four in five want brands to act in support of Black Lives Matter

An overview of public support across 18 different countries for different actions that brands can take in response to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Over four-fifths (84%) of consumers want brands to take some form of action to support the Black Lives Matter movement, according to a survey across 18 markets from GlobalWebIndex.

Brands supporting local and national community initiatives is the action that generates the most public support – half of those surveyed said brands should be doing this to support Black Lives Matter.

Publicly showing support for the movement via social media also proves popular, with 47% of consumers wanting brands to take this step. Ensuring diversity in leadership and management teams (44%) is also favourable.
