Consumers choose privacy as DuckDuckGo shows quickest growth

Privacy-based search engines are becoming more popular, according to the latest data from Statcounter. DuckDuckGo, the search engine that doesn't track user activity, recorded the highest growth in mobile search engine market share between 2016 and 2019, increasing by 366.7%.

However, Google continues to dominate, consistently accounting for 95% of the mobile search market over the last decade. DuckDuckGo is tied seventh, at 0.28%, as Baidu, Yahoo! and bing in second to fourth lose market share.
