Voice and visual search have reached a key point of growth in 2020 – globally, half (47%) of online consumers have used either feature in the past month, according to data from GlobalWebIndex.
Both are equally popular, with 34% of internet users having used voice search on their mobile in the past month, an increase from 25% in 2017. One-third (33%) also say they have used an image recognition tool like Google Lens or Pinterest Lens in the past month.
