Global online mobile consumption closes the gap

An overview of time spent online by device globally between 2012 and H1 2018.

Globally, online mobile consumption continues to close the gap on PC/laptop/tablet, after rising nine minutes this year. According to the latest data from GlobalWebIndex, mobile now makes up 48.2% of total online consumption, up from the 23.1% registered in 2012. PC/laptop/tablet, on the other hand, has continually declined since 2013, falling 58 minutes to reach 3:28 in H1 2018.
