US, Top out of home advertisers

An overview of the top out of home advertisers by spend in the United States.

McDonald’s was the biggest out of home advertiser in the US in 2016, according to data from Kantar Media. The fast food retailer directed US$76.2m of its total ad budget to the channel, an increase of 3.5% from the previous year. The next biggest spender was Apple on US$69.2m (up 15.6% year-on-year), followed by Geico on US$56.9m (up 10.7%). Data are at rate card level and do not take into account any advertiser discounts.
