Mobile internet remains unaffordable in nearly two-thirds of the Americas, according to the latest data from the Alliance for Affordable Internet. Across 20 low- and middle-income countries, mobile internet is unaffordable in 13 (65.0%). Affordability is defined by the UN as a 1GB mobile internet plan that is 2% or less of average monthly income.
