Sports viewership on Twitch has more than doubled

An overview of the number of hours of sports content watched on Twitch.

The number of hours of sports content watched on gaming-oriented streaming platform Twitch has more than doubled this year, according to data from industry analysts Stream Hatchet.

Audiences watched 16.9m hours of content in the sports category of Twitch in August this year, an increase of 151% from January 2021. May, June, July and August have all seen sports consumption above 16m hours.
