Facebook brand videos watched for 4.57 seconds on average

The average time viewers spend watching brand videos on Facebook is just 4.57 seconds, according to the latest data from Socialbakers in their an analysis of nearly 20,000 Facebook brand pages in Q4 2019.

For videos less than 30 seconds long, brands should expect less than one-third of the video to be watched by consumers. Vertical videos perform better, with an average of 29.8% of the video being watched. This compares to 27.0% for horizontal videos.
