Nearly one-third of consumers are paying more attention to healthy and hygienic packaging in their purchase decisions, according to data from McKinsey & Company.
Across 21 markets surveyed, an average of 29% of consumers said they were buying more based on healthy and hygienic packaging since the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak began. Just 8% said they're doing this less.
Healthy and hygienic packaging has also showed the greatest increase in half of the markets surveyed when compared to other purchase decisions that COVID has influenced, like employee safety, brand purpose and sustainability.
