The Met Office, a national weather service, launched a research study in the UK to provide insight which captured the needs of Responder Organisations and informed the strategic development of the National Severe Weather Warning Service (NSWWS).

Summary

The Met Office is responsible for NSWWS; the identification of weather that may cause danger or disruption to people, infrastructure or property. It is a critical service that alerts the public, Responder Organisations, media and Government to the likelihood and impact of weather warnings and provides guidance on how to respond.
