Snapchat holds steady in Norway as Facebook use drops

Facebook penetration in Norway has dropped, according to the latest data from YouGov and the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. In 2019, three-quarters (75.5%) of internet users said they had used the platform in the past week. This is down from 78.0% in 2018.

Snapchat was the only top five platform to not see a decline in penetration last year. Penetration was just below one-half (47.3%) in 2019, following continuous growth. YouTube registered the steepest drop, from 59.5% to 56.3% year-on-year.
