Smart speakers fail to penetrate Latin America

An overview of the use of voice activated speakers for any purpose and to access news in Latin America.

Voice activated speakers have yet to penetrate Latin America, according to the latest data from the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. Only 2.3% of adults reported using the technology for any purpose, falling to less than 1% (0.8%) to access news. This contrasts to the 8.9% and 4.5% any purpose penetration seen in the US and Canada.
