The challenge
- In 2016, SickKids set a goal to raise $1.3bn to fund the building of a new hospital – the largest fundraising campaign in Canadian healthcare history.
- After three years of the fundraising campaign, people were starting to believe that the hospital had reached its goal and raised the money needed. Yet in 2019, the hospital was still running more than $300m short.
