The Danish Safety Technology Authority: New Year's again

The Danish Safety Technology Authority, a government agency, encouraged people to stay safe while enjoying fireworks on New Year's Eve in Denmark.

Every New Year's Eve, more than 200 Danes are injured as a result of fireworks, the majority being boys and young men. Almost all injuries can be avoided simply by wearing safety glasses and keeping distance from the fireworks.

The Danish Safety Technology Authority are continuously working to inform about the risks related to fireworks and to spread awareness of the ‘five fireworks tips'. For 2020, they wanted to create a campaign that could influence those most likely to get hurt, young men between 15-25 years.
