ResMed Asia: Sleep better, perform better.

ResMed, a provider of cloud-connected medical devices, hosted a webinar to educate people in Southeast Asia about the most common sleep disorder worldwide: obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).

Summary

COVID-19 and its associated stresses have worsened sleep quantity and quality worldwide. 40% of respondents in a global study reported decreased sleep quality. In Asia, this exacerbates an already existing problem—in 2019, a study found that Asians sleep less and go to bed later than their Western counterparts, likely due to the longer working hours, intense pressure to excel, and 'always-connected' culture prevalent in many Asian countries. In 2020, after the onset of the pandemic, close to 60% of Singaporeans' ability to sleep had been adversely impacted.
