Summary

Gilead Sciences (Gilead) created the Gilead Step Up Challenge, an internal employee engagement and communications campaign during the COVID-19 pandemic to enable its 200+ employees across Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan to socially interact with one another virtually while contributing to society during this difficult time.

This three-week campaign achieved almost 100% engagement rate and raised US$28,000 for four charities. Together, the employees accumulated a total of 43,984,536 steps, which is equivalent to climbing Mount Everest 757 times.
