Online harassment and cyberbullying have been long-standing issues in India. Women across the country are constantly bullied, harassed, and abused online. Most women, especially young adults do not have the proper knowledge or understanding of how to navigate the digital space and what their digital rights are. Per Bumble India's nationwide survey, 70% of women surveyed in India believe that cyber-bullying has increased since the lockdown began last year. 83% of women in India experience online harassment of some kind, 1 in 3 women experience it weekly.
