Consumer confidence: Concerns and spending intentions around the world

This report gives an overview of consumer confidence and spending intentions based upon a survey of over 30,000 online consumers in 61 countries across five continents.
  • In Q3 2015, Global consumer confidence increased to its highest level - 99 points - since 2006.
  • This growth was uneven however, as confidence tended to remain steady or grow in advanced economies, while simultaneously declining in developing markets.
  • As the US reached its highest confidence level (118 points) in 10 years and the UK exceeded 100 points for the first time since 2006, confidence fell to its lowest level on record in Latin America.
