Objectives

In 2014, we launched the new Citi Double Cash card with creative work that clearly communicated a new benefit in the category: 1% cash back on purchases, another 1% cash back as you pay for them. While other cards encourage people to spend, spend, spend in order to see rewards, Citi wanted to reward people for more than just spending. A cash back card that rewarded people on bill pay was a way to encourage responsible financial behavior and give them rewards for something other than spending money they didn't...
