Microsoft launched their Windows 7 program by using the small northern Spanish town of Sietes. The aim of having Sietes as the focus of their launch was to show how simple the product was to use; the town had no more than 40 inhabitants, most of whom were computer illiterate.

Microsoft wanted to do a campaign for the launching of its star product: Windows7. Due to the problems the company had to deal with over the former version, Windows Vista, Microsoft not only needed a campaign describing the benefits of the product - quicker, easier to use, more intuitive - but it also needed to prove that it really was that way. This was our aim.
